At age 22, Bryan took the position of Store Manager at Dick Smith Electronics Batemans Bay. A position that supported him to gain valuable knowledge and skills in sound customer service, and the retail electronics industry. As a responsible and diligent manager, he was invited to manage company stores in Canberra and Queanbeyan.
A passion for IT and computing inspired Bryan to seek an ITO position at ICT Shared Services. Bryan worked with a dynamic team that provided IT support for the education department in the ACT. During this time, Bryan purchased his first business Livefire, a computing retail and repair business in Batemans Bay, living and working between the ACT and his hometown.
Bryan returned home permanently to the South Coast, where he would spend the next 10 years developing a corporate level of IT network support for many local businesses. During this time, Bryan met his now wife, Rebecca and started a Family. Rebecca is a qualified and experienced graphic designer who contributes to the business in the role of design and marketing manager.
Bryan’s passion for networking is complemented by his vast array of knowledge, skills, and experience across several related industries. With an overwhelming increase in demand for network design and construction, Bryan was inspired to acquire his data cabling licence. He had a mission:
Support local people with improvements to communication infrastructure, through responsible
data and telecommunications network design
and installation.
2022 saw a visual re-brand as an evolutionary step, representing the changed focus of Livefire now known as Scope Data Networks. The team wanted to be clear; we are not electricians, we only do data - and we do it well! The future of Scope Data Networks is bright, as the couple are looking to expand the team, with an increase in requests for their specialist skills and unique approach to data, networking and communications.
